Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
