Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.

A Tribute to the Fallen

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the passing of his two dear friends.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the global fight fans had expressed its support for the fighter in the following the heartbreaking incident.
